You have beautiful Labs! I love Bravo with his big head, alot of bone,nice
tail set and his color is nice. I like the way he moves as well. ( Thanks
for the movie clips of him.) As I have researched the Labrador lines I have
found that my eye always goes to the dogs with the Dickendal, Guideline,
Tabatha, Gingerbread, Rocheby and last but not least Hunt Club lines in them.
I love alot of bone, large broad heads but still meet AKC for size. English

Just wanted to let you know that there is a UKC-HRC Club in central Indiana
for retrievers, it's Hoosier Hunting Retriever club, if you or any of your
contacts are interested in information on our club, send me an email above
and I will get you the info on the club. We are having a training day on
July 12, 2003 at Camp Cullom/Frankfort area from 9 a.m. till whenever everyone
breaks up. We generally use birds and/or training dummies to train with.
Our club has to have one hunt test a year to stay sanctioned with United
Kennel club. All our dogs are registered AKC/UKC. Also Steve and I have two
AKC English Lab pups for sale, these are 100% english but they are hunt
test/field trial champion bloodlines, we have dam on site, and sire is out
of Michigan. You can contact me or my husband Steve at (765)379-3957, I think
we are fairly close to Kirlin, IN. You have a very nice website!

Your site is so well done. Not only is it put together well but it shows
the passion you have for these beautiful animals. I have waited 13 years
before I felt my life and lifestyle would have the proper room for a dog.
I have always had a gift with animals and I have of course been a huge dog
lover. I have found that Labs and I have similiar personalities and thus
am anxious to adopt one. I chose to write you because I feel you would be
best suited to ask. I feel better about adopting a Lab who is a year or older.
Do you on occasion have animals returned? If so do they need a home? Please
write back and let me know if this is so. I understand that some people do
not realize the amount of energy Labs have and the time you need to spend

I have enjoyed you wed site. When we purchased our choc. lab we realy
did not know much about the breed. But as Jack begone to grow, we realized
that we had. The lady that we bought him from had just begun to breed choc.
labs. She was already breeding black and Yellow's. We picked jack up at 12
weeks old, we was the last to go. But he turned out to be the best. As I
learning about the breed, all I have seen are snippy nose, long body dogs.
Which are just the oposite of Jack. I would like to start a breeding program
for choc. labs in my area. If you know of anyone that has a choc. female
that look like your choc's please let me know. I will travel anywhere by
car with Jack to find him a lady. Hope to hear from you and once again nice

I have tremendously enjoyed viewing you site. My Black Lab, Sophia, died
suddenly on January 31st while doing her favorite thing, retrieving in the
yard. Your site, found serendipiously, has provided some good therapy. I

lasik new york issue here. We have quite a few
laser eye surgery new york converts. It's like

To Londra below (it is a down to earth site), I couldn’t agree more. I
work in Los Angeles and there is a
plastic surgeon in our building. In my office
alone I know people who have had
liposuction a
tummy
tuck and a
face lift . I also know a
lasik surgeon who tries to convince everyone he
meets to throw out their glasses and get
lasik and
laser vision correction . People are so vain.

I am looking for a black lab adult with training complete or virtually
so.I have owned two other blacks, trained them with professional help, but
now I do not have time and I miss my black lab. My first lab was in 1974,
Last lab, Kate, a great, but early-on difficult dog died June 2001 at 14.
I know it is hard to find something like this, but I am trying. Even a a
good start would be helpful. I am not much interested in hunting anymore
and I do not intend to show. I live on a pond and the dog would be for
companionship and plan. He or she would not be alone very much. thanks for

I am interested in breeding my registered yellow Lab, Emma, to Bravo.
My dog is currently 16 months old, sound in health, appr. 70 lbs., light
yellow with a beautiful and loving disposition. I have bred labs before but
only to my own stud who is a great and beautiful dog, pet quality (he looks
a lot like pictures of Bravo). However, since he is Emma's sire, need a different
stud. What is the stud fee and requirements to breed to Bravo? We live in

Last Sept our choclate lab had puppies and I wish we could have kept them
all, but since my husband was going to retire this year he thought it would
be nice to keep one male pup and spend time hunting to keep himself busy.
But everyone knows how it goes if time is so busy that he decided to see
if anyone else would want to train this very loverable dog. He has his dew
claws removed and had all his puppy shots. Alot of the ones theat purchase
our pups always send us pictures as they grow and always tell us that they

I was looking for prices for a black lab puppy. We had a dog trained from
the midwest. Unfortuantely our dog was murdered and thrown off a high bridge
20 miles from our home. Just for the "fun of it" the 17 year old said who
did this. It was a great loss to me and my children. I'm a single mom, and

I just lost my black lab on 4/15/02. He was only 9 years old. He died

I found your website to be very interesting. We are looking to adopt a
chocolate lab soon. We have a black lab and we just had our chocolate lab
run away. He was with us for about 4 months, he was given to us from a friend.
But one day he got out and ran around to play but he never came home. My
six-year-old daughter has been really upset so I told her we would start
looking for another dog. But we want a puppy or one that has already been
trained because our black lab has been to obedience school and is a very

We currently have a Chocolate Lab named "Hicks' Hersheys' Nuggett" we call
her Nuggett. The 3 of us just lost Cheyanne Rose DuVal a Black Lab, 11yrs
old, to bone marrow cancer. We can't replace Cheyanne, but do wish to add
to our family another Black Lab (Cheyanne was the best) in about another
six months. We will then be living (permanently) in Canandaigua, NY. We will
have a 2200 sq ft house with 10 seculded acres (our dogs are duck hunting
dogs and live in side). We are originally from Oregon, and wish only to receive
a Lab from a reputable breeder and have no real information to go on for
breeders on the East Coast. Your Dogs and their pups look great! Will you
have a litter around that time of year that will produce any black labs?

I bred my registered choc, with a stud which was also choc registered.
Came up with 6 choc and 4 blacks, my surprize is that they all have white
on them. Is there any chance they can be registered? The standards I have
read say a small spot of white on the chest. These have chest white and two

Hello from another Black Rock Kennels. Fortunately we're in different
groups! I have herding breeds and a single hound and no plans to pick up
a sporting breed. I tried to register the name with the AKC but they informed
me it was also in use by other poeple. Know I know who. I show in Ohio/Kentucky
every now and then but I didn't see any emphasis to the show ring on your

Thanks for the great web site. We reviewed the FAQ's and some pictures
so my daughter in 3rd grade could familiarize herself with some background

My son age 13 has been wanted a lab for years but we had a special need
dog that prohibited introduction of another family friend. This year our
springer finally died. We are dog empty and want so much to have a wonderful
dog companion that we lacked in the springer. My married son has a black
lab and we all are aware of their loving fun and playful behavior. I am ready
for lab after having nursed the springer bad behavior for twelve years!!!!!
never again ... springers need time out from reproducing!!! We would love

Amazing site full of some beauties!! Really enjoyed the photos and profiles

Dale and Linda are fantastic with great breeding stock. I currently own
one of there chocolate males we purchased in May 00. He is one of the most
beautiful labs we've ever seen and incredibly smart. Most basic comands at
3 months. ( sit, stay, fetch, heel) It was an absolute pleasure to purchase
from Blackrock and I would highly recomend them. When it comes time for a
playmate for Bailey we are going back to Blackrock. Best of luck to Blackrock
and we wish them continued success.

we have had our 1st lab (black) since Hallowen of '99. Unfortunately,
we have no papers as she was hit by a car and found by someone else who could
not care for her medically. i took her from these people and had her broken
hip repaired. she is named Josie, and happens to be the BEST of any dog we've
ever owned besides our Casey, who is a mix of greyhound/black lab. the two
of them are our hearts! Josie will be 2 in january, (Casey is 8), and we
are thinking of breeding her with an HPD canine unit Lab, her next heat which
will be in February, (if the vet says she can have pups). she was apparently
in a puppy mill because she already had pups when she was hit by the car
and the vet said she was only about 9 months old. she's had a rough beginning,
but that is all in the past. she will always be our angel, and we love her
dearly!!

Hello, I am very interested in a lab puppy. We lost our one in a life
time labs 4 years ago to cancer. We had won our HRCH in the UKC hunt tests.
I'm interested in trying to find a dog like Rowdy. He was very "birdy", loved
to retrieve yet he was very calm & easy going around the house, etc.
