8 Compelling Reasons why Christ is coming very soon!
The Suffering Servant (Isaiah 53)
1 Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2 For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.
3 He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
4 Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.
6 All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.
7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off out of the land of the living For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due?
9 His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.
10 But the LORD was pleased To crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand.
11 As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors.
Do you know where you will spend Eternity?
Has anyone cared enough to share with you how simple it is to go to Heaven when this life is over?
Well here is the GOOD NEWS!
Jesus Christ the Son of God loves us so much that He died on a cross, was buried, and came back to life to pay the penalty for our past, present and future sins. The reason Jesus did this is so that we can live forever in Heaven, a place where there is no more death, sorrow, sickness and pain, just total love.
In the Bible Jesus said, "I am the door, if anyone enters by me, they WILL BE SAVED..." (John 10:9) Even nice people still need to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. This passage in the Bible says, "ALL PEOPLE HAVE SINNED, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
Jesus also says in (Mark 1:15), "Repent and believe the good news!" The death of Jesus Christ on the cross is the payment for our sins, the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave is our receipt. That's the GOOD NEWS! All we have to do is believe the good news and repent. This repentance is a change of mind that agrees with God that one is a sinner, and also agrees with what Jesus did for us on the cross. The Bible speaks of only two places eternally and that is Heaven and Hell. Do you want to spend eternity in a place of total love instead of being forever separated from the love and mercy of God in eternal torment in Hell?
If so, just now, wherever you are, repenting, lift your heart to God and pray this prayer:
| Dear Jesus Christ, I come to you the best way I know how. I believe that you are the Son of God and that You love me and want to save me. I know that I am a sinner and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe that You suffered and took the punishment for my sins and that You shed Your precious and sinless blood for me by Your death on the cross. I also believe that You arose from the grave and that You did all this to give me eternal life in Heaven. I now receive You into my heart and life as my Lord and Saviour. Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You for forgiving me and for saving me through Your merciful grace. Amen. |
If you said and meant the prayer you're now and forever saved and on your way to Heaven. Welcome to the family of God. Salvation is not a reward but a gift. The Bible says it this way, "For it is by GRACE you have been SAVED, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the GIFT of God." (Ephesians 2:8)
A good place to start reading the Bible would be the book of John. Now that you are saved you should be baptized. Please don't wait to tell a loved one about God's simple plan of salvation, this might be the last chance.
* Bonus Fact 1 - Gospel means Good News
* Bonus Fact 2 - Yes, it is true that church membership, religious activities, baptism, or anything else cannot bring salvation. Only the sinless blood of Jesus Christ can wash away our sins and only Jesus Christ can give us eternal salvation.
* Warning 1 - Some people are saying that Christianity is not all-inclusive, but the truth is that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for all sin, so that anyone can be saved.
* Warning 2 - Your decision for Jesus Christ after today may be too late since tomorrow is promised to no one. Those who die after the age of accountability(knowing right from wrong) without Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour cannot enter Heaven. Please make the only wise decision and receive Jesus Christ today.
* Warning 3 - You also need to understand that once you have been saved you can never lose your salvation. Jesus said, " ... and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out." (John 6:37)
* Warning 4 - If a person sins after they are saved Jesus Christ intercedes with God for them. The Bible says it this way, "My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One." (1 John 2:1)

Hebrews
4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two
edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and
of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents
of the heart. II Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do
not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,
but mighty through God to THE PULLING DOWN OF STRONG HOLDS;) Casting down
imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge
of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle NOT against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 2 Timothy 2:4 No man
that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may
please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

12. Great Christian Rock Band! Skillet
Classic rock riffs, swirling drums, monstrous hooks, and undeniably catchy choruses... hints of old school progressive rock mixed in with modern alternative flourishes... touches of classical influence as swelling strings intersect with sonic adrenaline rushes. It's indeed a fusion unlike any other, marking the latest chapter in the continuous evolution of Skillet, whose moniker couldn't be more fitting for their explosive new Lava/Atlantic Records release, Comatose.
